New TINK Trailer shows Living World and Colorful Combat

Following their triumphant showing of Tink at last week’s GamesCom in Germany, Munich’s Mimimi Productions have today released a brand new gameplay trailer featuring footage from the game’s prototype, some of which was demonstrated at the Gamescom event last week.

For those who missed out, Tink is an original action adventure featuring a mix of puzzles and combat in which players make use of colour in different ways to defeat the Bleakness.

Tink is the first title on a professional video game crowdfunding platform, Gambitious, which is currently in beta form and will be soon launching worldwide.

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Gets a Confirmed Release Date

Konami has today confirmed that Platinum Games’s spin-off / sequel to the Metal Gear Solid franchise, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, will be released Worldwide during February 2013.

To Coincide with the announcement of the games release date, Konami re-released the E3 2012 gameplay trailer, however this time it includes 30 seconds worth of additional footage as well as a glimpse of a potential ally.

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance will be released on the 21st of February 2013 worldwide, with the UK and Ireland receiving it a day later on the 22nd February 2013. A Playable demo of the game is also expected to arrive with the Zone Of The Enders HD Collection, which gets released in October 2012.

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Gets Hanzo, Darui & Mifune Gameplay Videos


The European Youtube channel for Namco Bandai Games have recently began streaming three new gameplay videos for Cyberconnect2’s upcoming Naruto game, Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3.

The Three gameplay videos demonstrate three previously unplayable games in the Ultimate Ninja Storm franchise, with Hanzo, Darui and Mifune all being demonstrated at Gamescom 2012.

Hanzo:

Dive into this epic fight between Hanzo of the Salamander, the leader of Amegakure, and Mifune, general of the Land of Iron during their legendary encounter. Discover these two brand new characters featured for the first time in a video game!


Darui:

Darui, the Fourth Raikage’s bodyguard will be playable in Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. Discover both a new playable character and his fighting combos and techniques.

Mifune:

Relive the clash between Mifune and Sasuke during the Five Kage Summit! Get a glance at the gameplay improvements on top of discovering some of Mifune’s fighting abilities.

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 will be released onto the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 during 2013.

Marvel Heroes Set to Make its European Debut at Gamescom 2012

Gazillion Entertainment, has today announced that the eagerly awaited free-to-play online game Marvel Heroes will be unveiled to the European media for the first time during gamescom 2012.  Marvel Heroes combines the energy of action role-playing games (RPG) and the breadth and immersion of the MMO genre with a story crafted by comic-book super-scribe Brian Michael Bendis.

In behind-closed-doors presentations David Brevik, President and COO of Gazillion and creator of the legendary smash-hit games Diablo and Diablo II, will unveil the eagerly anticipated free-to-play action-packed MMO to European media. The media will be given its first opportunity to experience Marvel Heroes, as they play iconic Marvel characters and battle through the war-torn streets of Mutant Town and Fort Stryker to defeat Magneto. Along the way, players will also get a taste of Marvel Heroes’ extensive loot and costume options.

David Brevik, President and COO of Gazillion, shares his excitement regarding the demonstration of Marvel Heroes at Gamescom 2012:

Team up with friends and try to stop Doctor Doom from devastating the world with the power of the Cosmic Cube.

Marvel Heroes will be exclusively released onto the PC, however an expected release window has yet to be announced.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Gets a Brand 'Track Based' Gameplay Trailer

SEGA has today released a brand new gameplay trailer for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, however unlike previous gameplay trailers this one showcases all of the tracks that have currently been confirmed for the game, so can you name them all?

In Total 9 tracks were shown in the above gameplay trailer, but if you didn’t get them all then don’t worry as here is a list of tracks that what was shown in the video:

Not only have SEGA released a brand new gameplay trailer for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, but they have recently confirmed the details of the European exclusive ‘Limited Edition’ Bundle. The ‘Limited Edition’ Bundle will contain the same contents as the American exclusive ‘Bonus Edition’, both of which will feature the following DLC Items:

  • Outrun Bay Track (Features Time Trials & Challenges)
  • Metal Sonic & Transforming Vehicle for Metal Sonic
  • Stickers for your in-game license

The ‘Limited’ and ‘Bonus’ Editions of Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed will be available on the PS Vita, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 and will only be available for pre-order or while stocks last. The game itself is expected to be released during November 2012.

 

Team NINJA Re-Introduces Two Characters & Reveals Extensive Online Mode for Dead or Alive 5


Team NINJA, in conjunction with Tecmo Koei Europe, have today announced that two previously unannounced Dead or Alive characters that will be returning to battle in Dead or Alive 5, not only that both of these characters will be playable at Gamescom 2012 this week.

Team NINJA re-introduces the characters of Brad Wong and Eliot, who look more realistic than ever in their return to the highly anticipated fifth installment of the Dead or Alive series. To showcase these two characters, Team NINJA has released all-new images of Brad Wong and Eliot fighting in a small Chinese house, where players can fight inside the house or outside the house – depending on how the battle progresses.

Eliot: Referred to as the “immovable apprentice,” Eliot is a Xing Yi Quan prodigy under the tutelage of master Gen Fu. The youngest contestant in the DOA tournament, Eliot has a polite and respectful attitude toward his rivals but can be very aggressive and impatient during a fight. Fast on his feet, he uses coordinated movements to generate bursts of power, overwhelming his opponents while simultaneously defending and attacking.

Brad Wong: Having concluded his search for the legendary wine Genra, returns to Dead or Alive 5 with his unique fighting style. The “Druken Master” continues to exhibit the distinct moves of Zui Quan, confusing his opponents with his well-balanced style that employs a combination of hard-to-predict evasive maneuvers and quick strikes.

In addtion to the confirmation of Brad and Eliot in Dead or Alive 5, Team NINJA has revealed that the game will also include an extensive online mode, allowing players to test their skill against opponents from around the globe. Players will be able to battle it out in Tournament styled listings, Rank up their online level and while waiting for their next match players can chat with each other via voice or text commands. Online fighting in Dead or Alive has never been so social or competitive.

Dead or Alive 5 will be released exclusievly onto the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on the 28th September 2012 within Europe.

Gamescom 2012: Playstation's Presentation Highlights – News & Trailers


The Playstation Media Presentation at Gamescom 2012 was a huge success in comparison to E3 2012, as Sony unvieled tons of new information, plans and games for the ‘slightly’ unloved PS Vita – which is now being the talk of Gamescom with its interesting ideas and brand new gameplay videos.

Sony’s Gamescom presentation wasn’t just about the PS Vita, as they also explained more about the Wonderbook, a Playstation Move accessory for the Playstation 3 that allows imagination to run wild, with a variety of new games including Spell Book, being demonstrated on the main stage.

With so much excitement and interesting ideas being thrown around its hard to ‘highlight’ the highlights, however these are my main highlights of the Sony Media Presentation at Gamescom 2012, for the full list of news, videos and announcements you can check out the official Playstation Europe Blog, as they have listed everything that happened at the event.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops – Declassified:

Call Of Duty: Black Ops – Declassified for the PS Vita is being developed by Nihilistic Software and, according to its developer, its the portable Call Of Duty game that everyone has been waiting for, with all of the home console features remaining in the portable version. Nihilistic Software confirmed that the story for Declassified will take place between the original Black Ops and Black Ops II, filling in the gaps and explaining the ever expanding story, additionally players will be able to battle via Wi-Fi Connection over a variety of different multiplayer maps and modes, such as 4v4 Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, and Drop Zone. The final surprise was sony announcing a special ‘Black Ops: Declassified’ PS Vita bundle, where you’ll be able to get a PS Vita Console, a copy of the game and a limited edition Black Ops Vita pouch all within a special Black Ops Declassified Vita packaging. Call Of Duty: Black Ops – Declassified is scheduled for a November 2012 release.

Cross Platform Purchase for PS Vita / Playstation 3 Games:

Cross platform purchase is NOT its official name, but Sony have announced that a selection of full RETAIL games will offer a Cross Purchase. Basically If you purchase Playstation All Stars Battle Royale, Ratchet & Clank: Q-Force or Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time for the Playstation 3 and you will recieve the PS Vita version for FREE, alternatively purchase the PS Vita version and get the Playstation 3 version of the game for FREE. It is an amazing idea and one that was highly welcomed in the Gamescom audience.

God Of War: Ascension:

God Of War made a ‘short’ appearence at the Sony presentation, as a brand new gameplay trailer showcasing the combat in multiplayer modes was shown and news of an ‘upcoming’ Multiplayer Beta. Currently details on the beta have yet to be announced, however God Of War: Ascension will be released onto the Playstation 3 next year.

Killzone: Mercenary

During the Presentation Sony announced a brand new Killzone game, entitled Killzone: Mercenary, exclusively for the PS Vita. Just like previous Killzone games its a first person shooter, however it gives a fresh perspective on the conflict between the ISA and Helghast, as For the first time in a Killzone campaign, you’ll be fighting alongside both sides, carrying out missions that the regular soldiers just won’t do. Most importatnly you are a Mercenary that will do anything to earn a wage. Killzone: Mercenary will be released during 2013 exclusively for the PS Vita.

Playstation All Stars Battle Royale:

Sony revealed four new playable characters for the game with Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet, Dante from Devil May Cry, Spike from Ape Escape, and Ratchet from Ratchet & Clank being added to the rosta. Sony also confirmed that All Stars Battle Royale will be available as part of a special PS Vita Bundle and that anyone who purchases the PS3 Version of the game will recieve the PS Vita version for FREE (and vice versa). Playstation All Stars Battle Royale is currently expected to be released on the 20th November 2012 for the Playstation 3 and PS Vita.

Playstation Mobile:

Playstation Mobile is a new gaming service that will be available on a variety of Playstation Certified devices, such as HTC, Asus and Wikipad Devices. Playstation Mobile will use the Playstation Network Store, as a place for games to be purchased, and games can be played on Phones, Tablets and the PS Vita. At the presentation a variety of games were announced, including Super Crate Box, Aqua Kitty, Samurai Beatdown, Passing Time, BeatSlider and Flick Hockey. Playstation Mobile is expected to be activated later in the year.

PSOne Games on PS Vita

Sony confirmed that PSOne Games will be heading to the PS Vita, as the rumoured v1.80 firmware, which adds PSOne functionality, will be heading to the PS Vita on the 28th August 2012. This update will improve a variety of features found within the console, but the main change is that PSOne games will now work on the console, with Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil 2 being confirmed as playable at launch.

Playstation Plus:

Playstation Plus is going to get bigger and better as during the Presentation Sony confirmed that Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption would be September’s Playstation Plus Game of the Month, meaning it will be FREE for all PS Plus members to download, while in October SEGA’s Hell Yeah! Wrath of The Dead Rabbit will be the services new free game. Additionally Sony confirmed that PS Plus will be heading to the PS Vita, so discounts on PS Vita related content is expected and PS Plus users can now enjoy 1GB worth of cloud storage – all of this for only £39.99 / 49.99 EUR a Year.

Tearaway:

Tearaway is the new adventure game developed by LittleBigPlanet developers Media Molecule.Tearaway stars iota, a messenger from a paper dimension whose envelope head contains an urgent message for you and the only way to read the message is help him deliver it. Tearaway is an interesting idea as you don’t just control iota, but you control the paper dimension, as by using the rear and front touch screens you can save iota from evil monsters or reshape the world by ‘poking’ your fingers into the world. A Release date for Tearaway has yet to be mentioned, however it is a PS Vita exclusive.

The Last Of Us:

The Last of Us does not need much introduction, however a complete gameplay trailer was shown at Gamescom demonstrating not only the graphical power of the game but its intense action style gameplay. The Last of Us is genre-defining experience blending survival and action elements to tell a character driven story about a population decimated by a modern plague. Cities are abandoned and being reclaimed by nature. Remaining survivors are killing each other for food, weapons and whatever they can find. Joel, a ruthless survivor, and Ellie, a young teenage girl who’s braver and wiser beyond her years, must work together to survive their journey across what remains of the United States. The Last of Us does not currently have a release date, but it is a Playstation 3 exclusive.

Until Dawn:

Until Dawn is a brand new game survival horror styled game that is being developed by Supermassive Games. The game has a similar atmosphere to Alan Wake, however players play the game using the Playstation Move accessory. Basically you and six of your friends go up into the mountains, but when the powers out, scary things start to happen – so now its your job to find out what happens. According to sony at the Presentation you will be able to play as all seven characters in a bid to try and keep them alive for as long as possible, something which has only been seen in Heavy Rain, where you had to keep players alive to get the true ending. Until Dawn is yet another Playstation 3 exclusive and a release date has yet to be revealed.

Wonderbook:

Wonderbook was mentioned quite heavily during the Playstation presentation, with confirmation of new games and some gameplay footage for games already announced. Book of Spells is the first title for Wonderbook accessory and it allows players to wield magic spells and attack other wizards all from within the Hogwarts universe. New announcements to the Wonderbook included support from Disney and BBC, with TV Show ‘Walking With Dinosaurs’ getting its own gameplay trailer. Wonderbook seems ideal for schools and childrens and could be the next thing to hit classrooms around the world.

Gamescom 2012: EA’s Presentation Highlights – Game Trailers

Just like Capcom’s Media Presentation earlier in the day, EA’s Media Presentation was just as big, if not bigger – with plenty of new information, new announcements and a lot of explosive trailers being shown.

The highlights of the presentation, which took place at Gamescom 2012 in Germany, for me, have to be the official announcement trailer for the third game in the Army of Two franchise, Army Of Two: The Devil’s Cartel and a confirmed release date for survival horror styled game, Dead Space 3 – both of which will be released earlier next year.

Either way, here is a list new game trailers and announcements that were made during EA’s Media Presentation at Gamescom 2012.

Army Of Two – The Devil’s Cartel:

Visceral Games delivers an immersive and gritty co-op action-shooter that pits two players against the dangers of the Mexican drug war. Together, you and your partner must shoot and destroy anything in your path to take down a violent drug cartel that’s taken over Mexico. Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel has been developed using the Frostbite 2 Game Engine, creating a sense of real danger and extreme details. Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel will be released onto the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in March 2013.

Battlefield 3 – Premium Edition:

Battlefield 3: Premium Edition is the ideal ‘starter kit’ for new Battlefield 3 players as it will contain everything that has been released so far, and more. The Premium Edition includes the Battlefield 3 Game Disc, Back to Karkland DLC, Close Quarters DLC and Armored Kill DLC with two weeks early access. Additionally the Premium Edition will include a ‘head-start’ kit offering 15 different weapons, gadgets and vehicle upgrades straight out of the box. Battlefield 3 Premium Edition delivers more than 25 maps, over 70 weapons and vehicles and dozens of unlocks and upgrades for the ultimate online battlefield experience. Battlefield: Premium Edition will be released onto the PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on 11th September 2012 in America and in Europe on 13th September 2012.

Crysis 3

Crytek’s demonstration of the new ‘Hunter’ Mode was the new content for Crysis 3 shown today at Gamescom. Hunter Mode allows players to either play as a Hunter (Nanosuit) or a Cell (Soldier). If you player as a hunter you must hunt down and kill the 14 Cell Troopers, however if you choose to player as a Cell Trooper then you must survive the attack and escape the area. It is a brand new multiplayer mode and looks like a lot of fun. Crysis 3 will be released onto the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in February 2013.

Dead Space 3

The major announcement revolving around Dead Space 3 at Gamescom was a confirmed European release date of February 8th 2013, to coincide with this announcement EA released a brand new story driven gameplay trailer. Dead Space 3 will be released onto the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on the February 8th 2013.

FIFA 13

Fifa 13’s appearence at Gamescom was a detailed one, as EA explained all of its new features and improvements – all of which are demonstrated in the latest gameplay trailer. Fifa 13 will be released onto multiple platforms on the 28th September 2012.

Medal Of Honor: Warfighter

The latest Medal of Honor Warfighter trailer is a multiplayer based gameplay trailer featuring fireteams and actual in-game action to showcase the most authentic military shooter of the year. Your fireteam partner serves as your closest mate on the battlefield, with him supplying you ammo and serves as a spawn point, providing a significant strategic advantage in the ever changing battlefield.

SimCity

The latest SimCity shown at Gamescom demonstrates some of the new gameplay features tha can be found in the game, such as ways of earning and spending money on a social scale to the improve the city you have built or show off how well you city is doing to your friends. New challenges in SimCity allow you to compete to grow the fastest population, create the most jobs and educate the most Sims. Additionally Receive invites to global events and challenge notifications via Citylog. Once more if you’ve finished with buildings or want more resources you can Buy and sell them on the ever changing global market! SimCity will be released exclusively onto the PC during 2013.

Gamescom 2012: Capcom's Presentation Highlights – Game Trailers

Capcom was out in full force during its Gamescom 2012 Presentation, as not only did the publishing giant announce a brand new title from Dontnod Entertainment, but they also showcased a variety of new gameplay trailers for some of their biggest titles.

Since there was so much information, i’ve decided to list the highlights of the presentation below, so sit back, relax and enjoy!

DmC: Devil May Cry:

Ninja Theory’s reboot of the Devil May Cry franchise gets an unexpected twist, as Capcom reveals that the man behind the mask is actually Dante’s brother, Vergil. In this latest trailer Capcom showcase that in order to ‘face your demons’ danate must join up with Vergil to take on the demon threat. DmC: Devil May Cry will be released onto the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 during 2013.

Lost Planet 3:

The third installment into the Lost Planet franchise is actually a prequel to the entire series, with players put in charge of Jim Peyton. Jim and his crew land on E.D.N III being told that no life exists on the planet, however after an encounter with the Akrid, Jim discovers that they were not the first settlers on the planet. Exiciting new gameplay and cinematics were shown in the latest trailer. Lost Planet 3 will be released onto the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 next year.

Remember Me:

Remember Me is the brand new game from DontNod Entertainment, it puts players in charge of Nilin, a Memory Hunter who has had her memory stolen, so now she is out for revenge on the people who stole it, all the while avoding being captured by the police. Remember Me will be released onto the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 during May 2013.

Resident Evil 6:

Capcom debutted some new gameplay footage of Resident Evil 6, this time featuring a demo of Jake’s storyline, where Jake and Sherry are trapped inside a mountain cabin and surrounded on all sides by the J’avo. In this latest trailer we experience Jake & Sherry defeating the J’avo and then escaping from the cabin. Capcom also announced that a brand new online service called ‘Resident Evil Net’. Players using the service will be able to compare game statistics and achievements with friends. Resident Evil 6 and the Resident Evil Net Service will be available on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC on 2nd October 2012.

Street Fighter x Tekken (Vita):

Street Fighter x Tekken on the PS Vita arrived in style at Gamcomes 2012, with Series Producer Yoshinori Ono dressing up as Blanka. He revealed that Street Fighter x Tekken on the PS Vita will feature a variety of new customisation options and explained some of the new Vita features in detail,such as Cross platform play with the Playstation 3. All of the features were then showcased in an explosive gameplay trailer. Street Fighter x Tekken for the PS Vita will be released on the 19th October 2012.

Capcom Announces 'Remember Me' at Gamescom 2012


Capcom have today announced ‘Remember Me’, a futuristic third person action adventure title that will ‘blow your mind’ when released next year.

Remember Me takes place in the year 2084 in Neo France, where players take control of the main character, Nilin, who is a Memory Hunter, a specialist who can obtain any memory her client requires. However someone steals Nilin’s memories and now she is on the run from the police, so its now her mission to retrive her memory from the people that stole it, so now the hunter becomes the hunted in Capcom’s latest IP, Remember Me.

Remember Me’s key features:

  • Speculative, stunning vision of our future – Discover Neo-Paris 2084, where augmented reality and memory digitization have taken control of people’s lives.
  • Play as Nilin, an elite memory hunter with a clouded past – Become the most wanted memory hunter in Neo-Paris and experience the power to break into people’s minds to steal their memories. Gain the information you need directly from people’s heads, to complete your missions and recover your own memory.
  • Memory Remix – This innovative new gameplay mechanic allows players to use Nilin’s powers and alter parts of people’s memories in real-time gameplay. This will change characters’ complete perspective on their self-image and the people around them, which can have grave consequences for the world in 2084.
  • A balanced mix of combat and exploration – Fight your way through the different environments Neo-Paris has to offer, using Nilin’s proficiency in martial arts, as both hunter and prey!
  • Localized voice over – Remember Me will include fully localized voice over in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian as well as subtitles in Russian, Polish, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Remember Me is currently being developed by Dontnod Entertainment, a development studio made up of team members who previously worked on games such as the Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six and Burnout franchises, so there is a lot of talent behind this game and one to look out for.

According to eagle-eyed capcom fans ‘Remember Me’  was previously demonstrated as PS3 Exclusive, Adrift, at last years Gamcomes event, but now it seems that the game has been re-named to ‘Remember Me’ and it will now be released onto the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC next year.
