NetherRealm Studios have today confirmed that Mortal Kombat X, which is being released onto next-gen platforms next month, will be reciving its very own Season Pass, titled the Kombat Pass.

This pass, which will be bundled with all Premium Editions of Mortal Kombat X, will be priced priced at £24.99 and contain four new playable characters for the game. The first of which will be Jason Voorhees, the masked chainsaw wielding guy from Friday the 13th, with other characters including two Klassic Mortal Kombat Kombatants and another ‘to be announced’ special guest character. We assume the Kombat Pass will also include other unannounced content, as £25 for four characters seems a bit excessive, but we’ll just have to wait and see – however Season Pass owners will receive content before anyone else.

Interestingly anyone purchasing the Season Pass for Mortal Kombat X from the 14th April 2015, which is when the game officially becomes available, will also gain access to Samurai Pack containing three new character skins: Ronin Kenshi, Samurai Shinnok and Jingu Kitana, as well as an accompanying skin pack with each playable character.

Mortal Kombat X will be released onto the PS4, Xbox One and PC next month; with pre-orders being accept across multiple retailers.
